Global emergency education

The Society of Emergency Medicine India (SEMI) has partnered with The Alfred Emergency & Trauma Centre and Monash University in Australia to develop a world-class advanced training program for India.

Emergency care is rapidly developing and in order to meet demand, and provide world-class clinical care, a series of advanced emergency training programs have been developed to assist specialists in India, to operate at the highest global standards. The content has been collaboratively developed and include the following programs:

  • Certificate in Emergency Care (Nursing): a six month multi-modal course designed to provide nurses with appropriate knowledge and expertise to assess and safely support the management of common emergency presentations.
  • Foundation Fellowship in Emergency Medicine: a twelve month up-skilling program for designed to provide junior doctors with the appropriate knowledge and expertise to assess and safely manage common emergency presentations and establish a pathway into a career in emergency medicine.
